Shhh….Don’t Tell the Twins

Last month my Twins got a Christmas gift from my friends at Fisher Price Canada. It’s huge and it’s spectacular. And. I’m keeping it a secret.

Peek a boo!

Hiding in my garage is a Power Wheels® Barbie™ Cadillac® Escalade™ Custom Edition. How hard is it to hide an Escalade from curious children? Very! For weeks now I have endured them walking by the ‘white ghost’ {as we call it}, “What’s that, Mom?” and “Ohh, that box is as big as a car!” *snicker*

Of course this would make the perfect Christmas gift, what toddler wouldn’t drop jaw over the sight of this 4-wheeled wonder {I know I sure did!}. But then, hubby and I discussed the fact that they’ll want to drive it right away. And, let’s face it, a downfall to living in Alberta is that multiple feet of snow prevents outdoor riding without chains and a heater. Though this sweet ride stocked full of options like an actual FM radio, it doesn’t have a heater or chains for the tires.

In pondering the right time to give the Powerwheels to the twins, the option of allowing them to use it in the basement living room came up. Yet my china cabinet and our new entertainment unit probably wouldn’t like that much.

Bottom line is that giving this to the girls right now might be kinda mean if they can’t drive it for months. So, we have decided to hide this glorious beast to use as an Easter gift this year. The anticipation is killing me!

Thing is, now’s the time to find this baby on sale since it’s off-season for outdoor toys. And, if you can hide it until then, now’s the time to purchase. And, if you are blessed enough to live somewhere that isn’t Mother Nature’s personal dumping ground…all the more reason {so jealous}.

I can just picture my twins driving their Escalade everywhere this summmer, you’ll bet there’ll be lots of photos of them cruising around in matching sunglasses. So, I guess this is a warning to you now, holiday gift to many adorable photos to come in 2012.

And. lots of time to get a #FisherPriceMom decal for the side of it too! ;)

Since it’s too early for me to post my thoughts yet, I see the Fisher Price site has many beaming reviews on this product.

What about you? Has your child owned a PowerWheels before?
